Currently the Barony has a large number of offices open and as an entirely volunteer run group, we need your help to continue to function smoothly. Gryphon's Lair is now accepting applications for the following-

Sheriff, Youth Officer, Chatelaine and Quartermaster

Descriptions of each office can be found below. If you are interested in one of the open positions, or would like more information please fill out the information on this form and forward it to our Seneschal.
All letters of intent/applications for office must go to the Seneschal, Baron & Baroness, the respective local officer (if available), and the respective kingdom officer. The Rapier Marshal, Archery Captain and List Minister also go to the Knight Marshal as they are also deputies for that office.

Because the SCA is a non-profit organization, all of the positions within the Barony are staffed by volunteer officers. These Baronial officers typically serve for two years (although we welcome anyone who is willing to help, regardless of time available) and assist in keeping the Barony running smoothly. Seneschal: The basic leader of all other officers, responsible for reporting at the Kingdom level.

Minister of Arts and Sciences: Arranges classes and teachers in the gentle arts and sciences.

Chatelaine: The key contact for newcomers and demonstrations. The Chatelaine is also holder of "Gold Key," which is the Barony owned loaner garb. Chatelaine also has access to the Barony inventory.

Chirurgeon: Responsible for the medical needs of the Barony, including First Aid as well as organizing the Water Bearers, who provide water for the members of the Barony - a critical function particularly for combatants.

Youth Officer: Responsible for arranging activities for children at events and practices. The Minister of Youth is not a babysitting service, but through a network of volunteers may provide an hour or two of free time for you to enjoy the event.
