August 17th 2019.
The longer lead time we have, the better the decisions that can be made.
Bids prior to the deadlines can be conceptual. We need a written description of the basic idea of the event. One that lists the details of: where, what, and the perceived cost of the event. An event packet consists of the Event registration form, pre-event budget, fundraiser form, event article for the Sage Advice. All of the information ready to go for finance committee review, acceptance, and signing, with enough time to submit to the kingdom finance committee and then, upon approval. submission to the Sage Advice. When it hits the Sage, it is official.
From the Sage Advice: Event Announcements: Must run a minimum of 3 months. All paperwork (Budget, Event Registration, and Event Announcement) needs to be received by the Kingdom Event Deputy by the 23rd of the month preceding 3 cover months of your event. For example, if your event is in June, paperwork must be received by February 23rd so the event announcement can be published in the April, May, and June issues of the Sage Advice. The Kingdom Event Deputy can be contacted at calendar-seneschal@artemisia.sca.org
